Great for Adventurers

The most centrally located adventure site on the planet. The trailhead to the most challenging mountain bike trail I've ever ridden is 30 feet from the lodge (Crater Rim Trail). The Big Obsidian Flow is a family hike no one forgets. Paulina Peak affords views from Washington State to California. The South Ice Cave is a short 4x4 drive down the northeastern slope. Best fishing in Oregon just 30 feet from the lodge. Bend is a beautiful 40 miles (driving) away, Sunriver even closer. Grocery shopping to fill those wonderful kitchens- head down to LaPine. Althought, the food in the lodge isn't to be missed, the perfect belly filler after any day of fun. Don't forget to ask about the warm springs on the lake shore, great, natural hot tubs!!

Our stay

We stayed in the Wren cabin and had a wonderful time the cabin was very rustic, homey and cozy. The lake was practically right out the back door, there was a full moon and it was beautiful, plus the sunrise across the lake in the mornings was breathtaking. The staff at the lodge were very nice and helpful. We have recommended the cabin to several of our family and friends and we will be staying there again. Oh and the fishing was pretty good too !!

Paulina Lake Lodge was a great last minute adventure for our family. We took the kids on a little hike, had an amazing lunch at the Lodge and even rented a boat for a quick trip around the lake. I wish we had gone prepared to fish. Thanks for a great 4th!

A GOTTA GO TO GEM IN THE FOREST
Reply #5 on : Mon May 10, 2010, 13:57:34
We had a great Mother's day stay-over and breakfast. The cabin was warm and cozy and had everything we needed. We enjoyed Mother's Day Breakfast the next morning. The food was yummy and the Bloody Marys were excellent. Best I've had. The owners and staff were friendly. The service was awesome. We will definitely be going back to this gem in the forest. Thanks guys you helped make Mother's Day Weekend memorable.
